You mean the 72?

If so then I own and adore a guitar from the same series, Mexico's Classic Series. I've played a couple and they are lovely. The top of the range really for MIM.

The Wide Range Humbuckers really do need a pot change to 500k though as they come with 250k and can be very muddy at first but once you are there they are lovely.

I recommend strongly you get it and do the pot change which is cheap anyway.

In terms of bulid quality they are fantastic guitars for the price.

Hope this helped.

CC

I think you need to snag one and play the snot out of it!

I don't own a Thinline yet, but it's on my short list. I've messed around w/ both the '69 and '72 and I think they are both sweet playing Tele's.

CC loves his, and that's good enough endorsement for me!

Hi , I would like to share my experience. I was looking for a new guitar, and I tried the 72 thinline last week at my fender local dealer. It was one of the best sounding guitar for the price range I was targeting, the pickups were OK and the beautiful ash semi hollow body sounded and felt like a dream in my arms. If maple fretboard and vintage size frets feel comfortable for you, the 72 thinline may be your next guitar, this instrument sounds great¡¡¡.My impression is that ash bodies can produce warmer and deeper tones than alder, with excellent sustain ; and with the semi hollow body you can get a completely different harmonic color with overdrive or distortion. The guitar also was beautifully painted and finished(at least the sunburst I played at the store). I tried almost all the models available , but considering just sound, my favorite were the 72 thinline, the Jaguar HH and the HW1 telecaster I finally bought. The reason I choose the HW1 rather than the thinline is just because the neck: rosewood fretboard and jumbo size frets feel comfortably to me at this time, but in the future I would consider to get a thinline, no doubt¡
best regards
