I don't have one, but maybe you want to give a Fulltone OCD pedal a shot. I've heard nothing but positive comments on these pedals.

milder - Tube Screamer
harder and harsher - MXR Distortion+
"bigger" - Marshall Guv'nor 2

for the normal volume boost or also for adding some more "grits", anything like a TS808 (I prefer this one, cos' it has less mid-bump) or it's zillions of clones around.

I've watched a demo of the new Danelectros Transparent Overdrive Vr. II and the Drive vr. II, and I liked them a lot. Check in youtube!

For the heavier, Marshall kind of stuff, Lovepedal Purple Plexi (I think that's the name :D), and the little "Amp 50" from the same maker.

And since we're talking classic rock, I like my Budda Bud-Wah :) One pedal I'd like to add is a vibe pedal. The Lovepedal Mini Vibe would be my take.

I've noticed a lot a Tele players using a compression pedal lately. I think Digitech has a demo video might have been Boss though.

Boss makes the 'Blues Driver' that works GREAT. I've got mine stacked in front of an Ibanez Tube Screamer, & it really adds.

(my rig goes like...)

Roland 85W 2-ch amp > (Pedalboard) > Boss Noise Supressor > Ibanez Soundtank Delay > Boss Blues Driver > Ibanez Tube Screamer > Boss Chorus Ensemble > Vox Wah Pedal > Guitar, (Fender Deluxe Series Nashville Tele). This setup lets me do alot of different things, esp. with blues & rock. HAVE FUN!! 8) [/b][/u]

I have a Digitech RP355. Fantastic pedal. It has more effects and simulators than you can shake a stick at. Plus they include the Cubebase LE4 software and editing your settings through your computer is so easy and fast. I also love the Boss ME20. IMO both are really good systems.
