Country of origin has nothing to do with it.

And some Joker's couldn't tell if their guitar was out of tune without a tuner. And that's the only song they know.

Been playing for 39yrs and I've met enough ego's
The Guitar Don't Make the Player

Sorry to go off but, We play what we can afford. I'm sure we'd all have MIA's if we could, I get real tired of some Pompus Jerk's comments when he probably can't tuna fish

I stretch my string to near breaking by pulling on them and have always double looped the b and e I also keep a lot of tension on them as I wrap them around the tuners it helps to keep them from jumping over a wrap. I like 3 wraps no more no less

Is it just one string going out or all of them? I discovered a loose tuning post that had me going nuts for awhile.

I purchase a new old stock Korian Made Fender Lite Ash Tele and had a heck of a time keeping it in tune.. Removed all the factory installed strings and discovered a very loose post. Also was able to snugg up the other 5 about a half turn. No more tuning problems.. Also mentioned was the least amount of turnings on the post is better! that's a fact jack, discovered that years ago. A little work on the nut may be needed along with making sure the bridge saddles are properly seated. Hence the allen screws are both touching with equal pressure on the bridge plate. A tilted bridge saddle can move about. The saddles should be setup in a stair step pattern and the rounded setup is not always best for tuning stability

I hate to point out the obvious, but we can all play MIA guitars if we truly want to. It just takes a little more personal discipline and saving your money a bit longer.

I do agree with you that the guitar doesn't make the player. However, the better the guitar, the better you will sound and the easier it will be to play regardless of your skill level.

Well you obviously have less responsibilities than me, are single, or have a generous wife. If I spent a $1000+ on a guitar I would be in the Dog House. It would not matter how long I saved. I don't play for a living anymore and there are higher priorities in my household.

As for making you sound better Yes a good guitar will do that. And a MIM is one. So are some Squire's. If your playing a 1st act guitar or some other starter guitar yea the change is drastic. I started playing in 1969 and I've probably owned more guitars than you've played. And to be honest practice is the only thing that makes you sound better

Well my friend, I didn't mean to imply that there was anything wrong with the MIM instruments. They look good and play very well. I was only pointing out that most people can own MIA if they really want to. Many of my friends play MIM's and most made the choice because they cost less and therefore they can own 5 guitars instead of 2.

As to my circumstances, I'm married with 2 kids, and a mortgage and while we aren't poor, money is tight. My old 74 Strat I've had since 1982 (got it from a pawn shop) but I saved up and bought my other MIA Strat and my Tele used. It took longer to find them, but I think it was worth it.

Check everything, make sure it's tight. I bought a MIM Telecaster, and the neck screws, and the tuners were loose. That's what cheap labor gets you.
