Well mates, tonight was one of those nights! In the studio trying to get the sound right for the last 2 weeks to no avail..then suddenly it happens...everything came together and I finally nailed the solo overdubs for the song I wrote called Brooklyn. My Tele sounded so sweet...absolutely crystal clear and warm! Needless to say I am sitting here at home now with my gorgeous wife on the couch with a nice big mug of Earl Grey and happy as a clam! Only a Tele could have delivered the tone I got tonight! Life is good!

Nice! I was in the zone today too with some blues progressions and licks. I played for about 2 hour straight and feel I made some nice progress. I've finally put together a little run that covers about 4-5 mins and employs all the licks I know mixed together and few times.

Well dude I have a bad case of the blues and laying the guitar in general helps get it all out, but even better when I play some slow blues scales and licks. Other than the songs I set out to learn in the beginning, the blues was my main reason for wanting to learn the guitar. Muddy Waters - Folk Singer and Mana- Unplugged were what did it.

BCB,
Very nice my man...I do love the blues...I just don't have the touch for it. I am more along the lines of a Eagles type of player..:) not that that is a bad style..:)

I know how good those nights can be......!!!!!!!!!!!... 8) ........
I grew up on The Misfits, Black Sabbath and SoundGarden.(just a few examples....the list is actually very long as far as what I started out on.)
No matter when I pick up that guitar, somehow.....someway....the blues always comes out.
Weather I want it to, it is my rooted mainstay. my base , my go to.
And sometimes I can't shut it off, and sometimes I don't want to shut it off.

A good night to you sir, and a good night to us all.
-N :D

I've got the same problem. No matter style I start playing in, the blues comes out eventually. It could be worse as blues IS my favorite. Have fun with it man.
