How do you like those Duncans ?

I like them alot (I'm definately a high output pickup kind of guy). They go from smooth to screaming easily and I can still get twangy.

Thanks for the fast reply...Ever see Jerry Donahue play ? He uses Duncans in his Tele and it sounds great. I have a DVD..." Masters Of The Telecaster " by Arlen Roth. If you ever see it pick it up its worth every penny. Instructional and short guest appearences and they show you some good techniques and Tele tricks.

Thanks for the "heads up" on the DVD. I'll definately keep my eye open for a copy.

I would like to join this club, and have been looking for the right guitar.

Did Fender discontinue the Honey Blond finish? It's not on their website, nor is it listed for sale on Musicians Friend. But MF still has pictures of it.

Also what kind of case candy do you get, if any? Or should I say bag candy. How is the "Deluxe" gig bag. It looks the same as my MIM Standard gig bag with a bigger pocket, but you can't trust a picture.

Just curious. Not really buying it for the extras, but a little bonus is nice.

Check with Sweetwater. For case candy mine came with a polishing cloth and a Tweed Strap and a Fender Vintage voltage tweed guitar cable. That was from AMS they threw it in for some reason. The deluxe gig bag is great. Has more padding and more pockets than the one I got with my MIM. The Honey Blonde is the color of mine and I sooo love that guitar!!! So Welcome to the club, my brother Black Cat Bone is co president with me and the only requirement we have to join the club is pics..:)

That's hilarious! I have the strap and the cable in my MF shopping cart in anticipation. But alas they do not ship Fender products to above the 49th parallel.

I checked Sweetwater, they only have burst and black. I think I have a line on a Blond. I'll keep you posted.

Hey Pringle, check this.

http://www.musiciansfriend.com/canada

They now ship to Quebec, before that they were shipping only to the rest of Canada, doesn't that includes B.C.?

Thanks Claude,

I knew that MF has thousands of products that here, and good products too. But, they will only ship USED fender products, not new. And that is only used guitars and amps, no accessories. It appears to be the same for Guitar Center as well. Sam Ash, Sweetwater, etc. All will not ship New Fender products to Canada. It is getting better though. Up until recently, we couldn't buy used Fender.

I think I'll wait to get my accessories from the Guitar Center in Eugene, Oregon this summer. My wife and I are planning to cruise down the coast for a holiday. I did it a few years ago, just beautiful. So Eugene is a day trip from Florence. I load up then.

I'm still waiting to hear when my Honey Blond HWY 1 is to arrive at my local store. I will post pics as soon as she's mine.

Very Nice, after playing it for awhile the finish comes to a low gloss in certain areas.
