JPD,
Welcome to the HWY1 Highwaymen's club! You are in good company and when my good buddy Blackcat Bone gets on here he will be a great guy to associate with. He is a hot player and has a few You Tube videos of his playing out!! Welcome to the club and may your HWY 1 give you as much joy and mojo as ours do for us!!

airborne...thanks for that welcome and well wishes with the Hwy 1, I appreciate that. I`m looking forward to getting familiar with my new Tele. I just had 2 new MIM Teles, a Blackout then the Nashville. I returned both to upgrade to the Hwy 1. Glad I made the upgrade.

JPD,
I guarantee that you made a fantastic choice. My HWY 1 is my go ro guitar. I also have a beautiful MIM Tele in Brown burst that I love, but when I want my playing to shine I grab Dacks(that is her name after the mountains we have our home in, the Adirondacks in NY) and I sound fantastic!

Airborne...The Hwy 1 has the treble I was looking for all along. I had 3 other Teles that I bought and sold because I just want happy with the pups they had in them. But this one is awesome and I love it. The finish is the only thing that bothers me a little but from what I`ve read they can be buffed to a low gloss. Right now I`m leaving it as it is and maybe the finish will grow on me. But as you stated, I grab this guitar first too and now I`m seeking out a teacher for Country Blues. Their a little hard to find in NYC but I may have located one and I should be starting with him this coming Saturday.

JPD,
I know that area well. I was born in Sullivan County in Monticello. Our property is up inn Jefferson County on the edge of the Adirondacks. Right on the lake and we are going to be building our home in the next couple years. We will have a full service recording studio in the basement. Are you close to the Del Water gap and Calicoon?

Yes I am. I have 13 acres in Hancock and I get off RT 17 at Roscoe and take the back roads up the mountain. Beautiful country up where you are, you must like it alot.

My Highway One is identical. I think I love it more every time I pick it up, which is often.

Thats funny...I think everyone in NY knows that diner especially bikers. But its a great place to get away from the city. You must have been trout fishing in the Beaverkill, its known for that right ?
