Post subject: Carving a Telie.

That late 40's plank guitar did much to change the sound of not only country music, but popular music in general.
An iconic design in its own right, yet I never liked the way it looked.
I wonder if some day it could have a carved face with f-holes, I'll deal with having a volume control close to the bridge, tone controls for both pickups, adjustable poles on each pickup, a trem. hmmm...

sounds very much like a strat to me! :P

I thought very much the same thing.

Leave my tele as a tele and my strat as a strat. I may build a hybrid one day, but it will be tele goodness on a strat body. Not the other way round.

I believe Squier did a series of set neck carved top tele's a while back (no F holes though). They looked nice but I never played one so I don't know what they sounded like.
