I'm new here, this is my first post.

I own a telecaster..... though it has story behind it.
It wasn't factory built. All the Parts were bought directly
form the Fender factory in the USA. and assembled
here in my home town by a local guitar shop owner.
All the parts are speced out to replace vintage 52' tele parts.
I bought it at a different guitar shop, when I first played this thing I loved it. It plays so nice.

Now the questions is how would classify this guitar?

A) Vintage 52'
B) 52' Reissue
C) Standard
D) a mutt
E) a guitar not deserving of the Fender decal.

Let know what you think
I'm interested in your opinion.

Thanks

Generally known as a Partscaster, I believe.

Its a nice custom guitar, or Partscaster. But if you ever go to sell it (like on Ebay) Fender will not like you using any copywrighted word to describe it. Words like Tele, relic'd, Fender, Tele style, '52. You can describe the individual parts using those words, if they apply and the individual part was a licensed part. But, you can't call the finished product with a copywrighted word. And, believe me, Fender has copywrighted all the words that may apply. If you put a Fender headstock logo on it, you will be accused of selling a fake. You may not intend it to be, but maybe a future owner will try to sell it as the real thing. I make such guitars myself, using licensed Telecaster parts, and I have a hard time selling them. One time Fender pulled my auction on Ebay, when I was trying to sell a '52 tele style guitar in the style of Keith Richards. I didn't use any of the forbidden words, but it was forbidden to refer to a particular Fender guitar I was trying to copy. Sorry for being wordy.

Sounds like Fender is pretty picky
Even though the thing is practically made in their factory
aside from actually putting it together.
It does have the Fender logo on the headstock, that's it though.
On the back of the headstock the logo for Genuine fender replacement part is burned in.
I'll probably never sell it, I love it to much.
I can't tell the difference between others and this one.

Thanks for the input
