Today when I went to my luthier to have some vintage guitars looked at he had a custom shop relic on the wall that looked amazing. It was similar to the one that is my avatar picture. He let me play it while I was waiting. It had the 51 Nocaster pups in it. I couldn't believe how good it sounded. Real nice vintage sound and quiet too.

Has anyone used these or had any experience with them? I am thinking about getting a set for my MIJ strat and the luthier spoke very highly of them. I can get a brand new set for $70 from his store.

Thoughts or feedback? How would these compare to the 2 other sets of pups I can get for $70 which are the Rio Grande VIntage Tallboy Tele classic and the ToneRider VIntage plus? Thanks in advance.

I can't compare because I haven't heard the others in awhile, but that is a good priice for the Nocasters.

I put a set in for someone and they do sound really good. They measure 7.50 kohm (bridge), 7.32 kohm (neck) on my meter.
