Ok, here is one of my pet peeves...I hate when I am done playing and my Teles don't look perfectly clean. I always wipe them down and polish them and make sure that they are in pristine shape before I put them back in their cases for the night. What are yours?

a bad fake relic job

people charging big bucks for a parts caster with a fender logo applied to it pawning it off as a "Fender Telecaster"

a bigsby on a telecaster (no offense to anyone else)

Having an amazing new rhythm in your head, and not being able to get to a guitar in time...

I hate not playing all my guitars enough...some get more attention than others, a couple are sort of forgotten, and I feel like a deadbeat parent or something...

I'm with you on this one Airborne. I also hate a dirty guitar. I have a friend with a beautiful black LP Custom and it always looks filthy with greasy fingerprints. It's the one thing holding me back from buying a black guitar. It's bad enough with the black edges on my sunburst Tele! I always have to give the bridge and body a quick wipedown when I'm done playing otherwise it just disturbs me whenever I look at it...

It's funny your talking about keeping your teles nice and wiped down. I wanna do the opposite. I want to make a good-looking relic'd butterscotch blonde tele like Springsteen's and play it and never wipe it down to get it that "worn-in" weather-beaten awesome look like his has. I love that old weathered wooden oar paddle look. Something so natural and Earthy about it. I like the thin finishes with hardly any gloss on it.

Agree with you as always E!

I hate a dirty guitar and I'm the same, as soon as I'm done playing I 'reset' her to optimum ceanliness so it's pristine when I go back.

I also hate Relic jobs, I DO NOT understand that 5h1t.

Guys don't remember to clean the kitchen.
Guys don't remember to do their laundry.
Guys don't remember to vacuum the floor.

But guys surely remembers to clean his guitar!

I bonked a beligerent drunk in the audience "straight in the the mug" with my Tele one night long ago. It settled him right down and discouraged him from further attempts to manhandle our female lead singer.

Yes I wipe my guitars down, but no I don't fanatically polish them. I want them to look nice, but I don't expect them to look "new".
