OK Boys - here's the deal.

With the first of the month check and some extra work I picked up, I've got an extra grand burning a hole in my pocket. This is extra on top of the gear I'm saving for (which is of course another Tele). I could be responsible and save it or maybe pay a bill, but I'm not going to.

I want to get something different than a Strat or a Tele. I've already got a Mustang and a Cyclone. It has to be a Fender and have 6 strings. I'm happy with my amps.

Here's my short list:

- Special Edition Jaguar HH, black and chrome
- Classic Player Jaguar HH, white
- Classic Player Jazzmaster HH, black
- Baritone Jaguar HH, black

It's not going to be my #1 or 2 or 3. So I don't want to put more than $1,000 into it.

Don't ask me what I want to play with it or what sound I'm looking for, 'cuz I don't know. The short scale of the SE and CP Jag doesn't bother me. The longer scale of the Baritone Jag doesn't bother me. I'm just Jonesing for something different.

I've messed with everything but the Baritone Jag and would be happy with any of them. I've never touched a Baritone Jag and have a strange fascination towards owning one. It kinda has the lead in what I want.

So - give me your brutally honest, totally biased opinions, which is what you always do and what I want. :D

You could get my acoustic set up.

A Fender Telecoustic Deluxe through a Fender Acoustasonic 30.

Personally I asked my wife for the Squier custom II with the P90s. I want to get something a bit different as well. And today Guitar Center it can be got for under $200 with the black Friday sale and and the additional 10% off from Fender. I hope I get a good Blonde one. Most reviews are raves on it and it looks awesome.

I would go with the baritone Jaguar. I always thought one of those would be fun.

Go with the HH Jazzmaster (I just don't dig Jaguars personally) the Jazzmaster is able to produce some really nice sounds and is markedly different sonically from other Fender guitars I've played.

Haven't seen a HH Jazzmaster, but I'd like to try the regular Classic Player model with single-coils or the 66 reissue Fender is selling now.

Either that or the Jaguar with humbuckers :)

Why not go crazy and buy both a jaguar and a jazzmaster then combine the two to make a jagmaster and a jazzuar!
