I'm obsessive. Every guitar is tuned each time it is picked up, and it would not be mine if I didn't wipe it down when I'm done. While wanting to sound great is the main reason, looking like new money is the way we we're brought up. Rock On and know that I've felt your pain also , you'll survive...

Big,
I am the same way. I always wipe down my guitars and I am the only one that plays them. I know it is silly but if someone were to drop one of my babies...well...I'd have to drop them in order to feel better...lol

hey dude.. I read your post at my thread and decided to drop by and take a moment of silence as well...

also im pretty much aware that highway ones are vulnerable to scratches *aw man*
i was gonna get 1 hw1 bass guess I'll just gig with something cheaper

anyways.. no matter how long we try to take care of our instrument.. in a year or 2 or maybe after 5 years something will happen and i think that would really hurt... its best for us that it happened after its just a month old

Think "relic"

My Jagmaster came with a ding from shipping. I didn't notice the hole in the box when I took it home, and when I was playing it I got too close to my desk and touched it lightly to the corner. I immediatly checked it out and noticed a ding, too big for how hard it hit. I checked out the box, and sure enough, exactly in the same spot as the ding was a square hole. I took it back to the shop and they sent it out for repair. I did not want to have them bring in a new one because this one felt and played right. They managed to fix most of it but you can still see a ripple in the right light. I don't even notice it now.
