I have a person that can help. Jim him self actually gave me this guy. Is name is Delvin Wolf he's a sales engineer at Sweetwater. He knows Jim and he might be able to get a few from fender. He got me mine. If he tells you a date like February Give him your information and wait in line, he gets them sooner. The good thing is he doesn't charge your credit card until the guitar is shipped so if you find is somewhere else you can just cancel. Get the Sweetwater number from their website his extension is 1378.

Here's Mine...

It's made in Mexico, and we will have it here in Europe some time next month (hopefully).

well, my white jr tele arrived today (after a 7 month wait i might add) and yes the spec is awsome (flat head but less than half the price yet with traditional styling) but for some reason im a little disapointed, maybe its not all i hoped it would be????

Disappointed? Perhaps its because you had to wait 7 months and you built up the suspense too much; which any guitar lover would do.

I have this guitar on lay-a-way but pretty soon i'll have it home. But the last two times I made a payment I asked to play it for a few. I ended up playing it for two hours. I always wanted a Fender with a maple neck and humbuckers. It's a modern guitar with classic Fender features. The case is outstanding as well.

I just received a Jim Root Tele (in white) in a trade. Just got it in the mail. Let me first say that I am a huge Charvel freak. I have 5 Charvel San Dimas Custom Shops and 1 Charvel San Dimas Production Series and after I agreed to accept this guitar in a trade I was a bit skeptical. Excited but skeptical if that makes any sense. Well, when I took it out of the box I was impressed with the G&G case. The case is nicer than my G&G Charvel cases and as nice as my tweed 50th anniversary Fender Strat case. I wasn't sure of what to think about the flat white finish at first but it quickly grew on me. My buddy only had the guitar for 5 days before we traded guitars. He warned me of some flaws on the guitar before the trade. I did have to put on new strings, do some tweaking of the truss rod and adjust the height of the pickups and tighten the nut on the volume knob but that was about it. Being a hard rock/metal player the pickups matched with the mahogany body sound great. I love the EMG 60 in the neck. Since I love my Charvels, the jumbo frets felt like home as did the maple neck and 12" radius. Since all my Charvels have maple boards it took me a lil while to get used to the ebony board but I really like this guitar. I really like the angled pickup selector on the guitar also. This felt like home also. Volume knob's location is perfect. A few fret and fretboard flaws but nothing major. This is my first Mexican made Fender and I am happy with it. If I had to pay full price for it I don't think I would be so happy but since I got the better end of the trade it's not so bad. I just expected more from such a modern facility that Fender has in Mexico. I know they did it to keep the cost down but you can't put a price on a flawless American built guitar. I put a lil bit heavier strings on her and dropped it to D a whole step down. Can't wait to see the reaction when I play it on stage.

There is a real weird Jim Root tele for sale here in Finland. It's black with ebony fretboeard? The shop is authorized Fender dealer, and the guitar is straight from the factory.

So, what's the deal. Is it a some kind of prototype or what? It looks really killer...

I couldn't imagine the guitarist for Slipknot playing a tele.
Going from BC Rich to Fender is quite a stretch

i think the flat white ones are not easy to become in europe

i went to my music dealer and had to wait three month for my black one

maybe the guitar shops think that the blacks are to sell easier than the white ones
