I generally prefer maple fretboards on Teles and rosewood on Strats.

I personally like maple but I am planning to build a tele with a rosewood fretboard. If I had to choose, I'd take maple.

Love the maple neck on my tele. So smoothe and comfortable and i think on a tele it helps get a better tone. Now i do have a rosewood neck on my usa G&L Legacy that I love but it"s a strat not a tele. :)

Maple just seems to give a nicer tone for me and definitely feels better but there are some guitars out there I would like to own where maple isn't an option.

Given the same Tele, I'll take maple over rosewood every time. It just seems more traditional. But... if I wanted to take her home and she had a rosewood neck, I wouldn't tell her no.

Maple only if it has no thick poly finish. If it's satin it's fine. Other than that, no preference.

Dude! That would be like not taking a pretty gal home for the evening just because she's a brunette and not a blonde!
