Hey guys,
Just bought my first tele. Went with the vintage 52 reissue but did not get any of the case candy. I'm dealing with the shop right now to try to get it. Just wondering if the six saddle bridge that comes extra is stamped with the same serial number. Also, should I take this thing back if they can't get me a certificate of authenticity. I'm afraid they might try to give me a package of the candy that does not actually "suit" the guitar. I'm stupid picky about this type of s*%t.

I'm almost at the point where I take the whole thing back and wait for the next one to come in but it's so damn sweet I don't know if I can give it back.

Thanks for your advice,

Nater

Bring it back unless it comes with all the candy that comes with a new
Fender guitar. Maybe contact Fender about the way this shop is treating
you.

The six saddle bridge will not have the same serial number...I'd definiteyl keep on them about the case candy for sure

So, we finally got down to the bottom of this and the shop is having Fender ship the package of candy in. It'll take a few weeks but I'm not planning on switching out the bridge or anything anytime soon anyways. Maybe update the wiring...maybe not.
BTW, I found out from Fender that they discontinued the Certificate of Authenticity for these guitars in August of 2006.

Thanks for your help, guys.

Maybe don't change the bridge for a six saddle, as IMO you'll lose some the inherent teleness, instead if your intonation is out think about buying compensated saddles. In my experience and that of many others, they work very well indeed. I use Glendale ones (which I heartily recommend) but they are made by others like Callaham and Joe Barden too. One of the best upgrades you can give your AV52!
