Buy a Fat Tele with humbucker in the neck, and replace bridge single coil to humbucker in the single coil enclosure.

OR.......buy a New American Standard Telecaster, they are pre-routed to fit a mini or full sized humbucker in the neck, no fuss - no mess. This is what I did and now I have a mini humbucker in the neck and it's awesome!!!!

here is a picture.

Thanks Miami Mike.

With the last price increase there is no way I can afford a 52 hotrod tele, so once I found out the new american standards were pre-routed I decided to do my own. The 52 hotrod has the 375 pots, so I changed the stock 250's out, but I didn't care for the 375's so I put the 250's back in and put the wiring back to the american standard wiring and kept the 'no-load' 250 tone pot. It sounds really good.

Nice, but i which they'd do an opposite with the humbucker on the bridge and a single on the neck. That would be pretty much perfect.
