Is there something wrong with stock pickups? What are you going to change them to?

Don't get me wrong, I really really like the stock pickups, but I have a brand new of Kinman Broadcasters that I am going to put in. I am pretty much to spokesperson for them on this site, but they'll complete my Hwy 1 in to a TONE BEAST! I'll probably put the stock ones in the Telecaster that I am planning to build or sell them on Ebay.

Man I am convinced that Kinmans are second to none, the 52 ri Tele I played with them in it was the best sounding tele i ever heard. guys I know who I consider really good players that played it all wanted to buy it on the spot. So for sure having those in my Hwy 1 would make it complete. Dude I really wish I was more confident with my playing or better yet, a better player I would have posted like 50 videos of my MIJ Strat with the Kinmans in it. haha

The sea foam green looks really nice. I'd be afraid to do something like that. Plus I'm getting the honey blonde just because I LOVE the color, vintage looking. My second choice the the sunburst w/rosewood fretboard and probably put a mint pickguard on her. Always remember to each his own. If it makes you happy, feel good just do it!

I mean it would produce the ideal sounds I want from my dream Telecaster. A Beast of Tone! Noiseless, zero hum, MEGA Twang! Just in my opinion they are the ultimate in pickups. I haven't messed around too much with Lollars but I hear they are great too.

http://kinman.com/Shop/tele.php

The Boradcasters are the one, the website is having issues so once you click on products, quickly click on Tele pickups and once it loads click on Stop and you'll be able to view the web page. If not here are the details.

"Only the most priveleged players have heard genuine original Broadcaster pickups of the early 1950's. Now you can be priveleged too, Kinman AVn-48 series pickups have thick and focused tone with lots of drive. The uniquely complex Alnico midrange makes for superb definition, a sound with 'attitude' and plenty of output that projects effortlessly through the rest of the band without having to be too loud.

Brad Paisleys favorite pickups and you will feel confidently in charge of the guitar sounds too.

This set has prominent high end shimmer and bigger twang than the 60's Custom set. The excellent dynamic range will delight Tele players who want the distinctive punch of those rare early Broadcasters."
