What's the *one* feature that you dig the most on your Telecaster?

That there are no features... Simplisity at its finest!

Thats easy. The tone of the center pickup switch position through a clean amp.

The "easy" neck.

But I also like Bill's answer - that there are no real features. It's just a pure instrument.

Cheers.

The simplicity of it. I've got to agree with all the above. This one can't be long! :)

I see that you want us to pick one. I pick Tone!!

The rear strap button ... just kidding.

I agree with the simplicity comments. Mine was trashed and I was able to bring it back to life pretty easily. I also love the tone of the neck pickup.

The fact that looking at it is almost as good as playing it.

In its simple form, the Tele ain't much more than a cutting board, a baseball bat split down the middle and some wires...

For such a simple contraption, it has more heart and soul than any other instrument I know of.

hmm, this IS a hard question. Pretty simple guitar, not many frills.

If I had to pick one feature I'd say the controls. Sounds like a weird thing to pick, but a little overdrive on, you can get so many different sounds (all good ones!) just by playing around with them.

Close runner-up for me was the neck.

For me it's the body style...no frills...just a single cutaway to access the higher positions on the fretboard.

The tone is a given.

I love the one piece maple neck on my MIM. Fits me to a tee.
