i have a 52 reissue that i love. lately i've been playing my strat with the cs69 pickups. now when i plug my tele in i think it sounds flat, should i get a different bridge pickup?

JMO....you are comparing apples to oranges...different bodies, dynamics etc...but...you have to do what YOU like. Personally...both of my Teles pups are stock and that is the way I intend on leaving them. Hope you find what you are looking for.

i thought it was fine before, but my friend as a jerry donahue in his tele and sidebyside the jd had a little more output

I hear you. As I said you have to be happy with it... :D I love the pups in both my HWY 1 and MIM Standard...they just scream classic Fender Tele to me. I never was one to mod my gear...lol...guess I am a traditionalist...whic can be good or bad depending upon your taste! have you looked at the CS Tele pups?? They are pretty hot..might be what you are looking for.

You're probably better off not comparing 2 guitars that are so vastly different. Focus on what you like about each of them, and be glad that you have both. Try different amp settings and distortions. You might find a tone that only that pickup can produce.

just tweaked the amp settings a little and it sounds as good as ever :P just had to readjust my ears :lol:
