I have a Laney La 60 C, wich I totally enjoyed back when I played a washburn wi 64 (lots oh hum and hiss and everything to ruin my sound - I did not care that much for the neighboors:)).

Now I have a Tele and I need some more defined clean/crunchy sound from the start that goes well w/ the tele to play some jazz/blues/ and eventually a little alternative rock.
I need something to play in some medium/small room, maybe 45 to 60 watt...

The type of sound I search it's something near Karate's / Sam. Jackson 5 /

thanks

I would recommend the Super ChampXD...it has only 15 watts...but it is really loud. Plus the tone and FX with it are really great. Again, this is just my opinion. I have one and it has replaced my big amps...my marshall sits and collects dust as does my Peavy bandit...both of those are big and loud...and heavy... this little gem is really a great all around package for a very reasonable price. Anytime my friend...and remember one thing...get what YOU like. Sure we all give our opinions here but at the end of the day it is what you like and feel comfortable with. Some guys here will mod their guitars all up...I leave mine alone. I just love the way a Fender sounds as is..:)

I agree with the champ amp. I played one for a while the other day at Guitar Center while my step son looked for some xmas present ideas. It was my first time really sitting down and playing one for an extended period of time. I have a Fender FM212dsp and for a solid state amp it's pretty solid and very loud. I got it bc of the headphone jack, which was necessary due to a pregnant wife who is not a fan of noise right now ha ha. It retails in stores for about 349 but I got an online quote from sam ash.com and used it to get a Sam Ash store to knock it down to 305 bucks. The FX are solid except the "metal" whick I never use anyways. I generally play blues and 80's rock, maybe a touch of Rockabilly and I really like the amp. There is a single FM65dsp model too which is a little smaller. Have fun shopping. My advice, BRING YOUR GUITAR to the store so you know exactly how it will sound if you purchase it. Stay cool daddio. :D

There are alot of good sounding Fender amps in the 40 watt range. Try several out. Price may be a consideration also. Alot of people here like the Egnater amps if you aren't set on a Fender. I have 4 Fender amps, so I guess its obvious they are my favorites. For heavy distortion I like the Marshalls.

I've become a huge Egnater fan. I don't think you can go wrong with any of their models.

hey,

have you considered a vox? I know i'm looking for a similar amp as you atm, and have just settled on a vox ac15cc1. You also have the ac30 range if you want something a little louder?

In my opinion, compared to other fender amps of similar price, these vox's are just out of this world! There is something special about a vox thats impossible to describe and you will just have to witness for yourself!

Yes I'm considering Vox and Egnater. I think I'll buy a Vox Ac30 for the price.
