Anyone know if an ashtray bridge cover will fit on a HWY or what modifications will be needed to make one fit? I was thinking they only worked for vintage bridges like on the 52 RI? Anyone know?

They have the vintage style bridge. They'll fit.

I have one on my Nashville Deluxe, and it's true - it does sometimes get in the way. It makes it a bit harder to palm mute, but it just pops off and on, so no big deal.

It does add an extra 5 cool points for the way it looks though, so I say grab one!

That's what everyone tells me who has/had one on their 52 RI, that it gets in the way. I am still a beginner guitarist so I don't even know if I am palm muting yet or not but I figure i'll try one and can take it on and off. I just always thought they looked really cool. i am thinking the honey blonde with white guard and ashtray would look kinda smooth.

Will one like this fit? Are they all the same?

That's the one. Grab it. You don't have to always keep it on your Tele.

You'll learn to palm mute pretty quick once you start playing, but if it feels uncomfortable when you use it, just pop it off.

I like it just for the vintage look it gives the Tele.

yeah they look super sweet, my buddy has an old red tele that is naturally reliced and has the cover on the bridge and it is all reliced too. sweet look.

They look good when their on and keep the *crud* from getting in the saddles, etc. but being a palm muting player, I keep 'em off when not playing...
