I just snagged that guy up for $300 with a case! I'm so stoked about it too. The quality and sound on this are unbelievable for what I paid (granted, there is always something bigger and better, this thing kicks some serious butt).

Super-de-duper surprised at how much I have grown to like a Mexican Fender. I can't even think a bad thought about them after playing this guitar!

Let's see'em!

ps. Anybody rocking the 72' RI 'Black Dove' Tele yet? I am thinking abotu getting one come income tax season haha

$300 is a screaming deal. Congratulations!

Here's mine:

A 2006 60th-anniversary edition. I haven't even had it two months yet, and it has already become my main guitar. 8)

Yes, it has a tummy bevel on the back. It makes a big difference. I love this guitar! 8)

Thanks for the compliment on my Orange. I went without an amp for a long time to get that thing!!! But, it was worth it. That is the most versatile amp I have ever had for sure.

I dig the white one too!

ive heard the necks abit chunky? what sort of neck would it be comparable to: les paul, strat, tele or other ?
:) thanks
ive been recently looking at these guitars as my next guitar, i currently play a epiphone custom, and i fancy abit of a change in tone, i play mainly rhythm guitar (the main bands being the subways, the cranberries, thin lizzy, and abit of blink) would this suit my sound?

btw beautiful guitars!!!!

I made the same change. I had a super modded Epiphone LP Custom, literally EVERYTHING changed on it. Pick-ups, tuners, pots/caps, switch, input, EVERYTHING ha. And it sounded great, but it was still lacking that quality I was after.

I wouldn't say I am a rhythm or a lead player necessarily, but I think this guitar rocks for both. The wood combo on the Tele (maple neck/alder body) gives it a really bitey/throaty tone that I like a lot. I think it is a great combo with my Orange because, it is somewhat of a bright guitar, and the Orange by nature isn't a very bright amp at all, so it evens out.

It DEFINITELY gives off that classic rock vibe that I think you are looking for. I don't play classic rock kind of stuff, but I love the tone I get with the 72' and my Orange. If you want to hear a rough demo that my band just did, checkout purevolume.com/whencloudscatchfire its pretty rough, but for being from a not-so-great recording, the tone is awesome I think. That was my first time recording with the Tele and my new Orange head!

The neck is C-shaped, and it doesn't really feel any chunkier to me than the neck of my Strat. It does have a 12" fretboard radius, so that changes the feel a little bit. The guitar is also heavier than my Strat and my Jazzmaster, but it's not bad.

The only thing that keeps me from getting this guitar is the headstock...it just looks too strange for me...I love the Tele's classic headstock...but man they sure do play nice.. :D

It took me a while to get into Tele Deluxes, but once I discovered how great they are, I am a devotee. Here's my herd...

Yeah, and there's a reason it looks well used - it's an awesome player and sounds fantastic as well. It clearly was the previous owner's #1.
