From the auction description:

"Hello, up for auction is a custom made Telecaster made by John Bolin. Mr. Bolin is responsible for guitars made for Keith Richards, Steve Miller and Billy Gibbons. As you can see this isn't your normal Tele.

It features a beautiful custom Tribal Tattoo inlay on a rosewood fingerboard, EMG pickups and a beautiful maple neck birdseye neck that has a hard "V" shape"

I really appreciate the detailed inlay work and the time consumed in building this guitar but, as far as I understand, this is not a Fender and so what is that logo doing there? I'm sure it's a great instrument, but not for me.

It's a pretty guitar but how do you switch pickups? Hidden switch somewhere? Also I'm not sure I'd be interested in a guitar that's specially made for ultra light strings. Re-grooving a nut is so it will accept normal strings is not job I would attempt myself. Besides which modifying a custom made guitar seems somehow like defeating the purpose of "custom made". You get custom guitars because they are exactly what you want and they require no modifications. I think I would take a pass on this one, myself.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.
