George used a sunburst Tele copy with a set of EMGs regularly on-stage in the early 1990s. They're tons of videos of the Japanese 1991 tours with his old friend Eric Clapton on YouTube.

Clapton has covered many of his songs throughout the years, including "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" and "Isn't It A Pity".

Here's a promo shot of the 1987 Wembley concert:

Watching George playing a sunburst Squier Stratocaster and Eric fiddling around a cherry sunburst Gibson Les Paul Standard is not only a viewing pleasure, but also a very impressive listening experience!

Yes, three of the family are Custom shop. The first one on the left is an original 1969 Tele and then the next three are the Custom Shop guitars.

Okay Ajay I see I am not going to guitar rehab alone.lol The Eldred post Alain was talking about was a surprise to me because I did not know Harrisons Tele was chambered. So is it correct to say the MIJ Rosewoods are solid and the MIA are chambered. By the way just a beautiful collection.

No it is not correct to say that MIJ Rosewoods are solid - they are chambered as well.

Only the recent Rosewood veneered CIJ/MIJ and MIM guitars are not chambered.

And thanks for the nice comment!

Hi Ajay, you said in an earlier post that you only play these guitars for 1/2 hour or so and put them in storage or on display.I can't see for the life of me how you can do that.I rotate all my guitars as I feel that they were made to be played and to leave them idle doesn't seem right.I love to hear the different nuances of each guitar even ones of the same model as each has it's own personality. Some guitars I admit don't come out as often but do come out from time to time to be savoured like a fine cognac or brandy.Could you please tll me why you choose not to play these lovely instruments as I can't see why anyone wouldn't.

Well they don't get played much because I have so many guitars that it would take all my time to just play guitars.

Here's a Rosewood Thinline Telecaster. Not exactly the Custom Shop model mentioned above but a very similar guitar.

Custom Shop Rosewood Thinlines have black pickguards like the regular Rosewood Teles. This Rosewood Thinline has a white pearloid pickguard and a Bigsby tremolo.

Another Rosewood Thinline. This baby looks very cool! Has a red/brown shell tortoise pickguard, a single F hole and a SD mini humbucker in the neck :)

Mine are not for sale of course  , but you can find the Custom Shop reissues on eBay and the prices vary from around US$3000 upwards. 8)

There are probably several Fender Custom Shop Dealers that have them in stock still. Try Dave's guitars in WI or maybe Sweetwater. :D
