I've never seen one in person. Do they sound like a typical Tele? There must be some difference in tone with all that Rosewood.

Firstly, I'd better let you know that I'm not a heavy subscriber to the effect that guitar construction and materials has on overall tone in electric guitars.

Yes, the Rosewoods definitely sound like Teles as far as I can tell. Their tone varies more as a result of the different kinds of pickups they have, I believe.

The Custom Shop versions sound the best to me, they have a very nice full bodied tone, which still has the signature Tele Twang.

No Ajay.. tell me this is not true (dead envious) LOL!! While you have a dozen of "rosewood-only" I have just one guitar (at least it's a Tele )!!!

I saw you the other day at Ole Fuzzy's Myspace page!

Take care of the family! Cheers!

Thanks everyone! :D

Here's a photo with only the 100% Rosewoods in it (i.e. the two Rosewood Veneer models not inlcuded)

And this photo is just the Fender USA made Rosewoods

It is interesting how they vary in colour, something you don't notice until you get them all together. 8)

Very cool family photo, Ajay.

But you have only nine. You need ten to complete the set.

Those Teles are beautiful especially the 3rd from the left, the grain is something else.A buddy of mine had a circa '70 rosewood Tele and routed out the body(against the advice of many)for a humbucker. He fashioned a pickguard out of teak although it looked nice he didn't like the sound with the humbucker and ended up trading it for a sitar.I was heartbroken over the whole matter,I just can't see how someone could desecrate such a beautiful instrument.

Thanks. The 3rd in line MIA is in fact my most recent purchase. The grain on that one sold it to me, as it's photos were up on Dave' Guitars web site.

Here it is in it's individual glory...

Wow. I would love to own ONE of these. They've always been a big GAS inducer for me.

Are they heavy???

The full Rosewood Telecasters are all chambered to reduce weight. They are, as a result, a pretty normal weight for a Tele, not really heavy nor really light. 8)

Hello Ajay Tele,

Thanks for the photos of you grand collection.
I can't begin to detect my favorite, but if I ever
make it to Sidney, I'll be stopping by for a strum.
And maybe a vegimite sandwitch.

Cheers.
