i have kept mine stock and like it that way.

that is why i bought a 52 reissue in the first place...i wanted a guitar built to the original 52 specs and that would sound as close to an original 52 as possible.

Not an owner, but what you hear is the neck pickup alone - in case you change to the "modern' wiring, you wont lose that one, and as a plus, you will have the "both pickups together" position.

I have been wavering on doing it. I've found it's pretty easy to put the selector switch in the "in between" postion to get both pickups together. may just stick with that method. Love my guitar!
