Thanks.

Some people here in the forum have this model, I think soon they will appear to comment...

I wonder if the middle pickup is just a regular Tele neck pickup or is it calibrated to sound more like a Strat's?

According to Fender, the p'ups are vintage Tele single coils.

Much love over here. I really like mine and to be honest I can't think of one bad thing about it other then the polyester finish. It really shows every finger print. The thing can hit all kinds of different tones and ranges. I plan to upgrade mine to a 2 pickup model but stock as is it is a great guitar for the price. i mean $600 new for a deluxe! score! I got mine for $300 on ebay.

My Blackout was actually the first tele I've ever owned ... followed a bit later by the '72 Thinline. I really don't own a "traditional" Telecaster!

It's a wonderful guitar and one of the most-played in my collection. It is such a versatile guitar and capable of a real rainbow of tones ... many more than either of my strats. It can produce all of the "quack" that a tele is known for and it can also growl and purr with jazz-like tones as well. The neck is, in a word, effortless!

My only issue was in the fret finishing ... a bit jagged on a few ends, but an easy fix. This guitar is a no-brainer in my book, I would replace it in a second if it were ever lost or stolen. Great job, Fender Mexico!

mine was the same regarding the frets, but otherwise I agree with all you said.

I might get one as well. I really like its feel, very light and a nice neck also. My local GC has them for 399 right now which is a good price.

Wow - that IS a good price, considering they're selling on-line right now or $599!

I agree with the fret comments. I used to play alot and had lost interest. Then i bought a Black-out and havent stoppped. I have had it for almost a year and a half now and it hasnt lost its novelty yet. On the fret comments has anybody tried to smooth then out and how?
