I have been debating buying a 72 tele custom RI and was wondering if anyone out there owned one and cared to share their opinion.

I adore mine.

I got a great low action set up and changed the pots out, extra shielding and new wiring and its great.
Love the mix of the Hum and single and being able to blend them having seperate tone and volume controls.
I usually play with the hum on 6 vol and 6 tone and the single on 10 vol and 8 tone.
Plays beautifully, I got one with a very dark neck and amazingly tight build quality.

If you want to hear the CIJ version then listen to Izzy Stradlin and The Ju Ju Hounds and for the original MIA then dig out The Stones.

Highly recommend if you get a nice one........PLAY MANY!!

Whether you think it's inevitable or not you will end up buying one. These guitars are wonderful. If it's good enough for Izzy and Gilby Clark then it's good enough for us. :D
