could be...but then again...I have always wanted a Tele...ever since I started playing guitar 35 years ago....My Strat is great...I do love it...but IMO my Tele just feels better to me...like I am one with it when I am playing

Maybe everyone plays the strat and you end up sounding 'kinda like' everybody... I must say that tele's carry that old good sunny infance days sound... those Trebly great #$@*&!% loooking bastards... :P

I just bought one today but hey I'm a little unsure so I've posted this if anyone can help me out: Is this a legit Telecaster USA American Series? topic in the forum

I think if I had or could ONLY take one guitar with me, it would have to be my 52 tele. I play my strat, but it has taken a back seat to the 52.

Man, we are all cut from the same cloth. I have a Standard tele with some 54' nocaster custom shop pickups in it and I walk past my G and L Legacy everyday on my way to play my tele and never feel guilty. Keep on strummin' fellas.

RickyD nailed it. The Tele is more primitive and a little unwieldy sometimes making it seem irresistible when you're used to tamer guitars. It seems to be more touch sensitive than many guitars as well.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

I played Strats almost exclusively since'74 my wife knew I always liked the sound of a Tele and surprised me with one 3 Christmases ago(she's good like that)now I have a hard time deciding which to play.
