I`ve got a semi-hollow Tele with two f holes, like gibson es-335, but it sounds better. It has an alder body, a mahagony neck, a mahagony fretboard and a maple top. Also it has vintage bridge, Strat neck pickup, black pickguard and active electronics. My question is: why does it sound more powerful than Thinline `69 even with spurce body? :?

Why? I have no idea, but IMO there´s much more to the guitar than the wood it´s made of!

Just be happy you have a guitar you like! :wink:

http://fotki.yandex.ru/users/vadius-sid ... um/134744/

Go here, an' ya will see my baby)
Some specs:
body - semi hollow, alder (2 piece; the wood dried for 30 years ); top - maple with mahagony inlays (the wood dried for 30 years too);
neck and fretboard - mahagony;
scale length - 647.7mm;
pickups - cheap chinese or corean; but they sound pretty with no hum;
bridge - strat cheap tremolo;
tuners - six-in-line;
frets - 22pcs; jumbo 3mm;
swithching - 1 treble pick up switch; 2 neck pickup switch; 3 tone control switch;
weight - 3.5kg ( near than 7 pounds );
pickguard - painted hardboard.;
finish - primitive sunburst painting, acrilic, not very good. :(

It's not finished yet. Back isn's painted, there's no bound on body and f-holes.
I've decorated pickguard with black leather pieces, I'll post that pictures too.

This guitar has one disadvantage - the neck has no truss rod, so sometimes it works like trem, if I play careless)) xd
The neck is fat (27mm), but very comfortable for me.

I payed 160 dollars 4 all parts.

What do you think about this guitar? Tell me please.

That's quite a unique guitar! I like those position markers on the fretboard and the overall design. Nice work! 8)

Markers are made of.... I don't know how it's called in English.. That's aluminium, thin, made in rolls... Is used in cookery.
It's just glued and covered with laquer.
