Does anyone know if the Fender FSR Standard Surf Green Telecaster that was due in November canceled or sold out? I saw it on AMS a few months ago and was looking forward to it but now I can't find it anywhere. A pic can be found near the bottom here : http://www.americanmusical.com/Item--i-FEN-0213205-LIST

The Tele used to have it's own page but now it doesn't and no other sites are listing it anymore either. So I was just wondering was it canceled or sold out? Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I have not seen the guitar alone lately, but I just bought the pair from Pianos n'stuff music in Pittsburgh. Although I must say that I no longer see it on their site. As I write, there is a set on eBay for $999 free shipping, which is only a little more than I paid. Get the amp and guitar. Unlike some colors, these actually match. Cheers!

PS. It is hard to say if they will make more, and I doubt that Fender would disclose. A dealer may be able to find out.

The American version that came out early this year and is still around. The model I'm referring to was to be released this November on the 17th or 20th according to AMS and other sites and was available as a pre order. It was basically the standard MIM Tele only in surf green and was going to be sold for $499. If you click the link you can see what it was going to be. It was to be released the same day as the Fender Special Run (FSR) 72 Telecaster Thinline that can still be viewed at the link and is still going on sale on 11/20 but the Surf Green Tele seems to have disappeared from the slate from AMS as well as other sites. A quick google of it turns up the same that being the pages are all no longer available.

I too was referring to the Mexican made one. Probably nothing special except the color scheme. Here is one, but I am not familiar with the seller:

Yep, that's the guitar but it was to be available as just the guitar and not part of a package. I'm just trying to find out why it's not longer available as just the guitar or at all even. I didn't even know it was released yet. I was going off the November date being listed online as it's release date. Most sites and places that I usually deal with no longer have it even listed for pre-order let alone for sale as part of a package. Which is why I posted this here about wondering if it has been sold out or canceled all together.

Okay cool, I thought you were seeking one.. I would just ask a dealer or contact Fender about the fate of the guitar. It is pretty nice for a little Mexican Tele, but apart from the amp match, nothing to get excited about.
