I got my first tele today. A deluxe blackout. Very smooth and sweet too. Only been playing a Fender Acoustic for 4 months but when I go to take a lesson at the music store, this girl has been calling my name. I have a lot to learn with the amp controls etc but I should have done this years ago, Love playin both my Fenders.

Hoping to not still be playing scales, Kum Ba Yah, and Tom Dooley before to long. LOL. I'm a 55 year old teenager, learning guitar now. But it is a blast. I like the classic rock stuff I grew up with, some country and went to see Laithe Al-Saddi two weeks ago. What a show. He plays the blues but played everything . And all on a Tele, I think. I'll never be that good, a very elite talent to say the least. But, if I can make myself grin, I'll be happy. I think my wife will need sunglass to sleep tonight cause I can't quite smiling. I have a pic and resized it but not sure how to attach it.

Hi and thanks Bill. I'm having a blast learning guitar. Had a elcheapo as a early teenager, 13 14 but got away from it. I have a whole new appreicaition not just for being able to play and play well but for the descipline musicians have. Like I said earlier, I'm having fun and getting better each week.

Hello Oledad,

Firstly, welcome to this forum

You wanna post a pick well this may help.
Got to photobucket{or any image hosting site}
and set up an account, upload the desired photos
from your computer to your album in photobucket.
Now put the cursor on the desired photo and a box will
appear with 4 addresses click on the bottom address IMG
and in yellow the word copied will appear.
Back here at the forum you start your post and when you want to
insert a photo hit the, ctrl and v keys, at the same time and it will appear
in the post, now you can preview/post it.

Hope this helps.

Cheers.

Hi Mr. Bill and Snowy. Thanks for the warm welcome. Here is the pic I took of my new Tele and Frontman 15R amp. :)
Image[img]

Hope you like it, I know I do. Still not sure about all of the settings on the amp. The channel select push button between the gain and the drive volume. I'll figure it out. I was looking at an amp with drums and other effects but when me and the salesman got talking I realized I neeed to learn to play first. Keep it simple. He played through this amp and I was impressed. All I need for playing here at home. I can always move up latter too.
Also, FYI this is a heavy guitar. The neck strap that came with my acoustic has plastic adjusters etc. I bought a good Fender strap with metal ends for the Telecaster. You know where the strap doubles back onto itself I don't want a cheap plastic part to fail and my Tele to hit the floor. You can see the metal on the strap loop in the picture.
