My 2009 MIA Telecaster has developed a buzz on either the 3rd or 4th fret on the D string.

You can't hear it through the amp, but when playing unplugged you can hear it in the open string.

Any ideas on how to fix it?

Your neck may need to be adjusted. With the change in seasons sometimes the neck can either backbow or underbow. This is corrected with a truss rod adjustment. Another thing it could be is that a fret or two are popping up from the fretboard. They may have to be tapped back into their slots.

Might just need to raise the saddle 1/2 to 1 full turn
