Hello all... I'm thinking about getting a TEle in the nect couple weeks. Is there a tele out there that resembles the neck width/feel of a Les Paul? I play my EPI Les Paul all the time and when I grab my MIM Strat I have a hard time with it's neck. I find that the high E string always "rolls off" the fretboard of the MIM Strat... for instance when I play a D chord. I'm hoping I can find a Tele neck that feels like a Les Paul. Are there any out there? Thanks

Not really familiar with the Epi Les Paul, though I did play a few in the past. I don't remember the necks being particularly thick. What you complained about, the E string slipping out of the finger board, can be more of a nut problem (or frets too I think). You should take your guitar for a set-up.

You might like the Nocaster necks, give 'em a try!

I have an Epiphone Les Paul Custom, and the neck on that feels quite close to my USA standard Telecaster in terms of how thick it is. They are very different guitars though.

The 52' USA Vintage I played had a chunky neck, maybe have a look at that?

I remember the Epi Goldtop 56 Les Paul having a thicker neck than the Standard.

That's another forum though
