It looks like he forgot the 6th E-string...completely!! There isn't a bridge saddle for it.

I think Keef is overrated. Mostly he copies Chuck Berry, with open chording, so it is easier on him, than for us standard tuning players. I like the sound of his guitar, but he isn't someone to emulate, unless you want to sound dated.

A quite superficial analysis of his guitar work, IMHO.

+1

His sound with the open G guitars is all about timing and licks: not easy to duplicate authentically.

Which is, of course, why he is KEEF.

I had a tele just like this in the 90s. It was assmbled from parts and I bought it off my guitar teacher. It was damaged in a flood in 99 from hurricane Floyd. I was staying at a friends then and I had 5 guitars that were affected. I didn't know anything about building back then so I left them in his garage. I called him today and they are all still there . I am going to get them on Monday and see if anything is salvagable. If the body is okay on the tele I'll do a build thread on this forum. Wish me luck!!! I remember I had a strat that the body cracked apart from the water, but I dont think that happened to the tele. I also remember it being a pretty heavy guitar. It will be a fun project to ressurect it if the body isn't trashed. :)

You can see the high E string saddle in the picture and it looks to me like the magnets are still there.

Not the high E, the low E.

I think I see 6 saddles, six strings, and six pickup pole pieces on both pickups.

Of course, I also happen to be an idiot  as I am looking at the wrong picture  ...sorry.
