I have a butterscotch tele with nitro finish. It's newish (AV52 hotrod). Loaned it to my son for a while and it came back with some buckle rash (not unexpectedly) and I would like to buff it out. Anyone have any guidance on products/procedures? It looks pretty superficial to me, but I would like to clean it up. Thanks to all for their invaluable pointers.

Is the rashing just in the lacquer and did not affect the wood? That's a whole other issue. Reranch does have some good stuff!!

The rashing is superficial. Just the gloss top coat. No wood is showing. Thanks for ideas!

Go to the Rerance and check their products. Meguiars mirror glaze is good as well as Novus plexiglass cleaner which has a three stage polishing system. It works great on nitro from my experience.

Turtle wax or any automotive wax or scratch remover that says "safe for all paints". And has little or no abrasives.
