I'm thinking of replacing the stock pickups in my '69 thinline reissue with some Seymour Duncan tele sized humbuckers. Do I need to upgrade/change the pots too?

I read somewhere that 500k pots work best for humbuckers and 250k work best for single coils. Is that right?

Thanks :D

No, don't need upgrading pots. Those come with CTS 250k (if it's MIM), so don't need to change them. 500k gives some more brightness to humbuckers.

Now good luck with the pickup search! Any models in mind?

Thanks for clearing that up :D

For the bridge I'm looking at:

1) Hot Lead Stack http://www.seymourduncan.com/products/electric/telecaster/cutting-edge/hot_lead_stack/

2) Hot Rails for Tele http://www.seymourduncan.com/products/electric/telecaster/cutting-edge/hot_rails_for_t/

3) Little ‘59 for Tele http://www.seymourduncan.com/products/electric/telecaster/cutting-edge/little_59_for_t/

And for the neck I've pretty much decided on the Vintage Stack Tele (http://www.seymourduncan.com/products/electric/telecaster/cutting-edge/vintage_stack_f/)

I'm leaning towards either the Hot Rails or Little '59 for the bridge, but I'm not 100% certain yet.
