I've just made up my mind and ordered a Fender Vintage Noiseless set along with a pickguard, control plate, pots, knobs and a 4 position switch. Now I just have to sit down and wait for delivery, about 3 to 5 days.

:D

Thanks for the input.

Good choice in my opinion!

It depends on where you order and what shipping you choose.

I've ordered this from Guitar Parts Resource and for $35 they ship USPS Express to Sweden. The shipping takes 3 to 5 business days. Add a day or two for handling by GPR if all parts are in stock. Within 1 to 2 weeks the gods is normally delivered.

Ordered some stuff from Stewart-MacDonald some weeks ago. If I choose to ship USPS (non-express) the shipping takes 2 - 3 weeks. Last time I chose DHL and had the parts delivered in 2 (two) days from USA to Sweden, for the same rate as if I had chosen regular snail-mail...

Ordered the Vintage T bridge from Callaham guitars and it was delivered within 2 weeks.

Some dealers can prolong the process by slow handling. Have bought from dealers who take up to 3 weeks before they ship, and if choosing a cheap shipping you can easily add up to 4 weeks...

Guitar Parts Resource and Stewart-MacDonald usually process fast.

That's good info for some of the guys in the Strat forum who are having problems.

Thanks Hop & Mike!

My decision was finally made by seeing a clip on the Toobe that made me believe that it is possible to get the Tele tone I want.

And also; I have two Strats with Fender Hot Noiseless, a '50s classic and my Partsocaster II and they both sounds good. They let the guitars tone through, they both sounds different. The 50's have that nice growl and the partsocaster have a more.. well.. modern (?) sound.

I also have a Squier Jazz bass with Vintage Noiseless pup's sounding awesome.

I was almost bound to get a Tele with Fender Noiseless too.

For my next Tele I will consider the Laces! :D

:D

I would of course want to have a maple neck Tele too. Butterscotch blond with a contoured body... Possibly a Warmouth body... hehe... 8)
