Hi, I'm new to the Forum and new to the world of guitar. I have been drumming for 13 years and I want to seriously dedicate time to guitar now. I fell in love with the 72 Telecaster Deluxe in Black. I haven't found a guitar for under $800 that comes close to it.

I am into alternative/indie rock and that is the sound that I am going for.

Any advice on an amp??

I'm torn between the Vox AC15 and the Hot Rod Deville series...

Thanks in advance.

I have a VOX AC15 TBXR which is awesome, it's loud being only 15 watts.
If you play very loud and play large clubs the Deville would be the better
option, or the reissue Blues Deluxe.

My main thing is focusing on quality rather than loudness...

once I start doing the gigging thing... get comfortable enough to play... then I will get a higher end amp like a Soldano or Hughes & Kettner.

I want to stay under $800 for now while I get comfy enough with my skills. Thanks for the reply.

The AC15 is like $600 and the clean is awesome!!! But the 4x10 Deville is rather tasty too...

The Fender Blues Junior is US made.
AC15 for that price is probably not UK made but China.
