Just purchased a 2007 (?) Tele that seems to be pretty unusual, and wondering if anyone has seen a similar one. It's a 60th anniversary American Deluxe in pearl white with an alder body, maple neck, and tortse-shell binding and pick guard. I can't find another one on the web, and am wondering if it was a custom order. What do you think? :? Thanks for your reply.

This is an AMERICAN DELUXE TELECASTER, the only diference is that on AD Tele's the pickguard changes, depending on the color, take a look at those sell at Musiciansfriend.com, also notice that when ordering there's an option for white pearl finish it comes with the red wine tortoise pickguard.

One more thing, deluxe's can be distinguish from the rest by the outlined contour that's on each model, althought, once again the color of the LINE will change depending on the guitar's finish

regards,

PD I just ordered that same guitar, but with a rosewood fingerboard.

It's not a customized one. It'll take a few days, then I'll get exactly the same:
Alder Body, Maple Neck, Samarium Cobalt Noiseless Tele Pickups, s1-Switching System, American Tele Bridge, 4-Ply Brown Shell Pickguard, Tortoise Shell Binding, Contoured Back etc.

This type of american deluxe tele is produced since 2004 (older ones got 3 single coils, no s1-switching and so on) and my impression is, that the black and the whtie ones are the most rare of it.
Nearly every offer contains an Aged Cherry Burst or a 3-Color Sunburst...

so, hope you enjoy your tele :D

Here's a 2000 USA Deluxe in the same colour combo. This one also happens to have a Fischmann Acoustic bridge.

The Tortiseshell edge binding is one of the nicest finishing touches on these guitars:

Hello Dianadark,

Firstly welcome to the forum.

That is a super nice tele,
I may have to reconsider my fondness
for the 52 reissue,
Many thanks for the photographs.

Best of luck with it.

Cheers.
