My father in law wanted me to find out how much his guitar is worth, it is a 1960 fender telecaster with bigsby. It is an original, not new custom. Does anyone know the value or where I can find the value?

Have a look on ebay for a similar guitar of equivalent condition and that should give you a rough figure. For a better guide, take it to a dealer who specialises in vintage guitars and they should be able to give you a better idea due to age, condition etc.

Cheers.

I'll be straight with you - that thing is worth about the same amount as a new Nissan 370Z, if not more, depending on the color and other things!

that's a 5 figure price, by the way. in the ballpark of about 29,000 to 34,000

do you have pics? we'd love to see them! if you don't know how, go to www.tinypic.com, then choose the picture from your files.

then, after it uploads, copy the link with the words, [IMG] in it.

+1 George Gruhn knows vintage and has the reputation for being accurate in his appraisals.

The folks at Vintage Guitar Pro are good too :

Knowing him it's probably in perfect condition. I'm not sure on the color - I'll have to ask him if I can take pictures.

Thanks for all the replies!
