I think it's cool.

Not the relic treatement, but the concept.

Then again, I tend to prefer Fender guitars that are put together from parts anyway, and especially combinations Fender never made, like the a '69 Thinline body with an American Standard rosewood neck that I saw recently. Cool stuff.

Anyway, my only complaint with the Telemaster is the Jazzmaster body is offset (slanted at the bottom) so you can't set it down and lean it against your amp like you can with a Tele or a Strat. They tip over if you try that, so you have to have a stand.

But not just any stand - you need a stand that's just a neck hanger (Hercules brand, maybe?) or one with a swiveling bottom. Even then, those swiveling bottoms don't always hold the guitar right - sometimes the guitar will slip down after you think you had it securely on the stand.

The road worn appearance is great if its truely a vintage 50s or 60s Tele or Strat but to me a new guitar should look new and attractive. The pictured guitar would be fine if it is reintrdouced but should look new.

Mmmmm, I'd say ..... never.

The thread is 5 years old and the guitar no longer exists.
