My main guitar is a 3-tone sunburst american tele, and it has put me in a bind. I replaced the off-white pickguard with a tortoise shell guard, but i don't know if i made the right decision. I really like the black pickguard on 2-tone but i havn't seen one on a 3-tone. If you have any pics of one or some advice please reply. Thanks

I am adding a white Pearl guard to my Esquire...I have one on my partscaster and it looks pretty good..Adds a nice sheen...if you know what I mean...

What's wrong with white ? It ages and turns to a nice cream after years of use. 8)

I have white on mine now and it is fine, I just wanted to add a little more pizzazz without overwhelming the sunburst.

Black. Three Ply with white in the middle. Then I have it engraved with my name on it, at one of those license plate frame shops at the shopping mall. But, that's just me. If you want to pass on the engraving part, just go with solid black.
