Hi,
I have been looking for a 40th anniversary Nashville telecaster sunburst with white binding and gold hardware but can't find any, does anyone know of an average price for these if I happen to find one. If you have one would you mind emailing me some pics at jeffadkinstcb@yahoo.com I think there are 1989 models but I could be mistaken. I was an idiot & sold my tele a few months ago and now I'm wanting another. Thanks

Keith Urban plays one, but it's been extremely modified. There might be a clip on ewe tube?

Yea Marc his guitar tech found a way to put a strat pickup in the saddle postion and did away with the other two I don't know why he wanted to do this but the tone always sounded good. He doesn't play that particular guitar anymore he does have another one like it but it has the normal two tele pickups. I think it's a great looking guitar I like the different wood grain pattern in the body and the neck is also a darker maple. I didn't realize he played one till I started looking for one but so far I'm not having any luck. I'm hoping someone here will have one or know of someone who does. Thanks for your responce.

Firstly, if you find a 40th Anniversary Tele, you had better buy it before Mr Urban finds out - he's collecting them, I understand.

Secondly, be prepared to pay big $$$ for a 40th Anniversary Tele as they are a limited edition, early Custom Shop guitar, 1986 vintage (of course).

Think US$4K and upwards.

Thanks Ajay , I appreciate the info I thought as much on the price you suggested. I don't have much faith in finding one I really liked them and wanted one but now I'm not so sure I didn't realize till lately that it seems to be a singnature guitar for K.U. and I think his bank account looks alittle better than mine  Thanks again

Ah yes, that one is mine. 8)

That neck is better described as a flame maple, birdseye looks quite a bit different...more like this.

I have a very large number of Teles, as I am a collector.

Let's just say well over 100 different types of Teles...

If I didn't know better I would think I was talking to K.U. being from Aus. yourself. In your collection do you happen to have one that he owned at some point? That would be awsome! I got into his music about a yr. ago he is the only country artist I like. I could only dream of playing like him. I"ve enjoyed chatting with you. This forum is going to help me a great deal in my guitar knowledge. Thanks

No, I am not KU and no, I don't have any guitars he has owned nor have I ever met him!

I am just a passionate Tele collector. :D

Yes, he's a great player, probably in that grey area that is Country Rock now...
