I ordered my first Telecaster. I don't see a lot about the Highway One. Will I be happy with it. I play a Gibson SG, Les Paul and a Fender American Strat now.

Hi G McBride and welcome to the forum. All I can say to you is that like everything else in the world, some like it and some don't. I bought mine after the latests upgrades from Fender and before the prices hikes of the beginning of the year. I love it very very much.

I hope you'll be happy with yours. Good luck. :)

You should be very happy with it. 8)

What finish and fretboard? Honey Blonde and maple?

I got one this wekk identical to okocaster's. The finish is nitro so that diferent but nice. The jumbo frets is the biggest thing to get used to. Down the neck less pressure is needed or you may flat some notes. But its a great sounding axe smooth as butter and I think you will be very happy with it. A very good USA Fender for $700 you can't beat, they were $900 just last week.

The highway 1 was my frist choice before I bought my Tele. All i have ever heard is good feedback about them and they play really nicely. I'd say it is a good choice! Great prices on them right now too at most stores since they retail over $1050 and I think are going for around $700-750.
