Post subject: Why Teles Gently Weep (and ROCK!!!)

I was watching a documentary on VH1 Classics on Prince and I spotted a clip of him on an old Hohner Tele and I did some digging to find this awesome example of a kickass solo on the tele. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ifp_SVrlurY This is already an awesome song in itself but at 3:30 Prince killed the solo, brought it back to life, then killed its again. All with his trusty tele! :twisted: Kinda makes me wonder what that tele has under the hood. :?:

Thanks for posting that!

Prince is one of the most consistently underrated guitar players around. I think he's a brilliant player -- he's got the flashy posturing, but his playing is liquid smooth and often incendiary.

I agree. Never been a huge fan of his, but he is an amazing musician.
