do you prefer vintage style 3 saddle bridge or modern 6 saddle bridge for your Telecaster?

Hello Eddytanhh,

My mex standard has 6 but ,
3 seem more authentic and
make for a better looking tele.

Cheers.

I prefer the modern 6-saddle bridge without the raised flanges on the sides. It makes playing easier and, while the 3-saddle, flanged variety is clearly more "authentic", it doesn't work as well. Intonation is easier to tweak with the modern bridge, and it won't slice up your hand.

+1. Everything he said.

Don't worry about how something looks: Especially something that your hand blocks the view of while you are playing, over the function of the part.

Definately 3 saddle. There are a bunch of compensated 3 saddle bridges on the market that intonate just fine. I just installed a Wilkinson on mine and it sounds worlds better than the 6 saddle bridge and it cost a whopping $24. Looks much better too.
