See I like it a lot too, it makes my Tele more versatile, but the pickups I bought will also need a new middle pickup installed if I want to keep the middle pickup. Something about polarity the luthier said. The Kinman Pickups were pretty steep in price and i can't afford a 3rd one for the middle so thats the main reason I'm going to take the middle one out.

Man - I'll bet that Kinnman will be sweet. I've heard nothing but positives on his product... let us know how it turns out!

they are pricey but i played a friends 52 reissue with the broadcaster set in them and that thing has some serious tone to it. I was really impressed. Will let you know all about them once I get it back.[/quote]

Hi, I own a Fender Deluxe Roadhouse Stratocaster, MIM, with Texas Special Single Coil PU's. I always wanted to know more about the Deluxe Blackout Tele. I have seen many reviews (which all of them are good), but I haven't seen any video of this guitar. I live in Monterrey, Mexico, so it's harder for me to go to Guitar Center to try it. Did anyone knows a video on the net so I can watch it? or can anyone post a video to watch it? I'm really interested in buying one. I'm a strat fan, but this tele always got my attention with it's good reviews and that black on black look. Thanks.

Raga my friend, I have searched youtube for videos of this guitar and never been able to find any. I too wanted to hear it several times before. I got it as a gift and I can tell you that it is a great Tele. I've been really pleased with it and how versatile it is. It looks sharp with the black on black. I will try to make a video for you, but then again I am not the best guitarist so my video might not help you decide! jaja. I don't think you will be disappointed in this Tele. If you have any other questions about the Blackout, I'll do my best to help out.

Thanks dbr2026, I will appreciate that. And don't worry if you're not the best guitarist.... neither do I. I just play in home for fun.

Thanks Man, really appreciate it. By the way, I don't have any videos on the net of my Deluxe Roadhouse, but I'm planning in recording some by next weekend (I can't do it this weekend). If you're interested, let me know, it has some cool pickups.

Hey guys! I've been reading the forum so far and it sounds like I've found the right group to talk to! I've been playing acoustic guitar for about 5 years now and have gotten pretty good. I've been dying to get an electric for a while now but haven't had the spare cash or a pressing reason to hurry. But i'm finally making a band and need an electric. I've been researching guitars, and it seems like the Fender Telecaster Blackout is exactly what i'm looking for: a tele with 3 PU's. I'm not a beginner at guitar, just fairly new to electric, so i'm not worried about the 600$ price tag. I'm still working on getting enough cash to buy one but I wanted to hear firsthand what you guys thought. Every review I've seen has been very positive. :D

I've been really happy with mine, how it plays, looks, etc. I did the same thing you're doping before buying mine, i researched it all over the net and the feedback was all good. So once I got the blackout, it was ended up being just what I expected and had read: a solid guitar and a real nice Tele. Good luck in your search.

A friend of mine who's been playing electrics for several years has been helping me research. He pointed me towards the Blackout, saying that the guitar seems so awesome it aught to be illegal. And since it's in my price range it seems like the perfect fit for me. I'm heading up to Guitar Center in a few days to try one out.

Well, I managed to get up to guitar center yesterday, and my, the blackout was just what everyone has said: a very versatile guitar, and it doesn't look half bad either. I played in on multiple amps, and compared it with other guitars and it seems to have all the sound variations i need, and a very nice tone. Very nice guitar I can't wait to leave the store with it!
