A quick question for those more knowledgeable than me. Over the years, excluding some custom shop models, the J5's and Thinlines, has the actual Body thickness on Telecaster changed (thicker or thinner) since the 52 or even Esquires? As ask because I have a 2001 Nashville and it seems that when I place that body against something like a 52 Re-Issue, the bodies vary by a few centimeters. I have this really nice neck that purchased from a guy who had a 52 Re-Issue that fits too high in the pocket of my Nashville and I'm wondering if the body thickness could be the culprit? My guitar is a MIM Nashville by the way. :?:

I think you mean mm's, no centimeters.
There could be variances in body thickness, but only a few mm's.
As for fitting the '52 neck in your MIM Nashville, maybe the depth of the
neckpocket or thickness of the neck-end is the culprit.

Good luck sorting it out.

Man!!! Brain fade on my part. I'm a public school teacher (band) and I'm at the end of my day!!!!! I meant MM. I too hope I can make this neck work because I really like the feel of it.

You can try sanding the edges with scotchbrite pads. It may only take a little bit to fit snuggly in the pocket. Good luck.
