Hi, Im new in this forum, i not know why i take so long to register my self, because im a Fender fan.

Well, i hope that the Fender people read this message, because i have a particular question. I have a vintage Telecaster 65, with all the parts original and sounds like an olimpic goddess. But the color its not match to year the guitar belong. The original color of the guitar its Butterscotch blonde, i have an excelente Luthier, but i need the exact color. Somebody con give this information? or there´s a link with a direct contact with the persons in Fender?

In the other hand, This Tele 65 it was of my Grandfather, but i dont have any document (44 years its a long time ago) can i register this (Or any) vintage fender guitar?

thanks in advance.
have a nice one

hello, and welcome.

first off, are you sure it is a '65? it could just be a 50s telecaster that he bought in the 60s.

could you please provide pictures, or tell what kind of neck it has, and we will try to help you out!

peace,

Chandler

I sure its a 65, its have the day month and year inside in the format "DD MON YY".

Dont have the serial number in the neck, have the 2 patent numbers 2,573,254 and 3,143,028

I dont remember if have some detail in the pick ups.

To show the exact year of this guitar by photos i have to disarm the guitar. But i promise then when i do it, i show some photos.

Possibly a 65 with a very yellowed blonde finish, making it look more towards "butterscotch" than the actual white blonde it once was.

Don't expect warranty claims
